Mayweather's right hand will be his key punch and Cotto needs to be careful about getting countered over the jab, especially since he crouches low. The uppercut would be useful for Floyd too but I havent seen him use that punch in a while.

Cotto's key punch is his jab, and he needs to go back to throwing to the body.

Mayweather - jab. If Mayweather starts dominating the battle of the jabs then this fight wont last long

Cotto - Right hand. If he hasnt developed and educated right hand, there is no way he is going to beat Mayweather with only the jab and left hook.

Fight was much easier when Floyd stuck with the jab. Best shot of the entire night was that left uppercut in the final round.

Cotto(e) did a very good job at using his tight guard to block Floyd's standard str8 right. The main long range str8 shot that worked for Floyd ended up being the jab, so he knew he had to fight at closer quarters if he really wanted to hurt Cotto(e).

Floyd said in the post fight conference that he got the idea for the looping right from Mosley and uppers from Zab.
