    Duran easily.

Klitschko quit because of an injury, Duran quit out of frustration.

    Duran,

I dont blame Vitlay for quitting, he got walked down, pressured and broken apart and made to submit, kinda like Cotto-Margo.

Strange topic, but how could being forced to quit by an injury be worse than consciously choosing to quit?

    Ever used laxatives ?

Maybe his digestive traact was empty or near empty, but the sensation (real or ghost) of needing a **** can seriously interfere with your ability to bob and weave, to throw a jab or a hook, to in-fight in the clinches, and most of all, to take body shots on the belt line !

Man, why not just come out and tell everyone what you think? It's a silly, contrived question that you're obviously putting out there so you can argue.

    What do YOU think?

    What's your problem, Barber ?

If you don't like the thread, just ignore it.

    There's nothing contrived about it.

Two guys quit midway through their fights.

I'm curious to see what posters think about the relative merits of the two decisions. Nothing more.

I have offered no opinion so far on either case. I've simply repeated what has been put forth by others before.

If it makes you happy, i'll give my out look at the end.

neither, but i have to go with klitschko. duran quit out of anger and pride. in context, he refused to be humiliated, no matter the cost. klitschko's injury wasn't severe enough to quit but i understand

My pick would be Peters first, with his fight against vitali,,,,then brewster with his fight against wlad,,,,both refused to go out on there shield.................Now if they had a serious injury that need surgery the next day, i could understand,,,,,

Duran's was much worse. From what I remember Duran was actually ahead in that fight when he quit because Leonard started to mock him. Vitali quit due to a rotator cuff injury which occured early in the Byrd fight. The pain got so bad he complained to his corner that he couldn't see properly. He quit and saved his career and now has regained a heavyweight championship. Duran simply had his enormous ego bruised. Duran's ego was so large in the early 80's that he had it apply for statehood.

Duran was in there with one of the greatest fighters who ever lived, VITLAY was in there with a feather fisted blown up middleweight.

I think it's pretty obvious which quittage was worse to anyone with a functioning brain. No other 250lb fighter would have quit against Byrd in those circumstances, it was a complete ***** move.

Duran quit because his pride was hurt. Vitali quit because his body was hurt. Big difference and you have obviously never had a rotator cuff injury. They depending on their severity can render you a permanent cripple. But, then again, probably the most physical thing you do in a day is go to the bathroom....No sports-related injuries for you.

i would've said duran, before seeing danny williams fight with a similar/worse injury then Vitali so if danny williams could do it with his arm practically hanging by his side then vitali should've jabbed his way to the end

that and the opposition, would rather quit against ATG

if duran quit against a much lesser fighter then him then this would be fair
