Calzaghe v Lacy. Perhaps this poll will settle this discussion for one week. And no, it's not a British thing to appreciate an amazing display of boxing. It's called being a boxing fan.

Calzaghe's pwnage of Lacy was my first thought. He humiliated Jeff for essentially every second of a full 12 rounds. All you had to do was listen to Jeff talk through his nose afterward to know how badly he was pwned.

What has all that rubbish got to do with how bad the beating was?

The question was a pretty simple one

Hopkins-Tito was a better display RJJ-Toney was better PBF-Gatti was better Winky-Tito was better. I'm a calzaghe fan and was more impressed with his win over the skilled Kessler than the crude Lacy.

It was a bad beating but the thread starter said biggest ownage and IMO I factor in the quality of the two fighters not just one. Hell if that's the case RJJ-Paz was the one of the biggest ownages of all time.

Calzaghe-Lacy and Tarver-Jones 2 are the tops for me. Calz was just a brutal ass whooping, the likes of which I have never seen in an elite 50/50 (supposed) matchup.

Tarver w/ his prefight instructions question and subsequent kayo made that quite an ownage. Mental and physical ownage.

    Calzaghe-Lacy.

Joe totally dismantled the guy. kinda ruined Lacy's career too.

I agree with the shock factor. I was in total shock when Tarver KO'd Jones! Tyson being Ko'd by Douglas was the last shock until Jones vs Tarver.

I can understand this perspective. I think it's interesting how people define PWNAGE differently. To me, the tito pwnage was much worse than Lacy b/c of who Tito was. Lacy was supposed to be the next big thing and all but Tito was already an established GOD OF AN ISLAND when he got pwned. Think about the shock and humiliation of all of his people. That puts his pwnage over top of Lacy's, in my opinion. Lacy may have felt just as humiliated personaly as did his 20 or 30 fans, but that's it. The level of humiliation (and therefore PWNAGE) in the world at that point was much less.

That said, I think Tarver Jones 2 is the worst pwnage. I'll get more into that on my next post. :good
