Which recent MW champion would have given GGG the toughest challenge?

I clicked cotto by accident, i was looking for the only answer that's comparable, non of the above.

The real question is, which fighter has the best chance to see the mid rounds, and that's also non of the above. Hell, ggg has a couple fighters he destroyed that (could) beat all 4 of your choices.

You need to change those 4 with the atg'est 2 mw's and 2 smw's. Those 4, hagler, Calzaghe, ward and 160 lb rjj.

I'd still pick ggg very easily to take rjj and hagler, for sure. But ward and Calzaghe are both pickem fights that i would have loved to see.

We'll get hgg v ward IF ward is able to become the man @lhw. Very tough division atm and only getting stronger ever single day

 

all of these are evens or better than 3g as it stands, when prime.

the reason being they've fought more accomplished than 3g and won.

clearly we have yet to see pav beat an elite, and we really need to see it soon. Geale wasn't quite that article.
