Robinson at WW or Louis at heavyweight are the one's that stand out the most to me. Probably most impressive was Armstrong holding the lineal titles simultaneously at LW and WW. Duran deserves a lot of acclaim though, what he did at LW was just other-worldy. You can make a strong argument for almost all of those P4P greats in the poll.
I'd put JCC's 1984-1994 as one of the most impressive runs of all time. *Jr. Lightweight had 9 title defenses (Vacated) *Lineal Lightweight Champion (Vacated) *Jr. Welterweight 12 Title defenses (Lost to Randall)
You would come here with that shi.t Sr. sure was protecting that 0 of his..fought a lot of smaller guys...flat out bums...and plenty no-hopers.
yeah Chavez is difficult to rate because of his padding out, and its obviously a deliberate ploy by his management team to appear so with that 70 plus unbeaten run. A run like that is a sign of deficiency not quality. But he is total ATG quality too!
At 130: Rocky Lockridge, Roger Mayweather, Juan LaPorte were former world titlists. Castillo was a well regarded contender for years. At 135: Rosario and Ramirez were legit (impressive since his stay in the division was fairly short) At 140: Camacho, Taylor, Haugen, Fuentes, Lopez, Smith and Parisi were all titlists. Some decent scalps taken during this time period. Maybe not the best reign in any division, but decent enough all things considered.
Anyway, I'm torn btx Hvy and welterweight on the list. Featherweight had some nice, lengthy reigns. Sanchez and Pedroza, in particular, both crafted some quality runs during their time at the top of the 126lb ranks.
