But the whole point is that Lewis was severely gassed at the end of the 6th. He practically fell onto his stool. Vitali appeared to be the stronger, fresher fighter, except for the cut eye.

I voted for round 7. I don't believe that Lewis could have survived Vitali's onslaught in this round. The doctor should have given Vitali just one more round to clinch a KO. It would have happened.

 

I don't know why the focus is being placed on Lewis being the "tired" one.. Sure he was fatigued but Vitali was staggering forward in the clinches, was losing snap to his punches and beginning to take some big shots.. Both men were spent, no doubt but the difference is that Vitali was BOTH tired AND hurt.. Not sure what would have happened had the fight continued, but over the past few years, there seems to be this assumption that Klitschko stopping Lewis in the very next round was a forgone conclusion, and the film does not support this.
