Nope, and I disagree. From what I saw last Sat, boxing is becoming a circus, and another poster was right, many boxing fans are really conceited. Thinking their (historically corrupt over the years) sport is go high and mighty. Many UFC fans like boxing and definitely don't have that opinion about boxing. I'll take UFC fans and UFC over boxing any day of the week. No wonder UFC is outdrawing boxing.
Outdrawing boxing ? When was the last time they had a PPV that did close to a Mil ? When they had Lesner ..I don't know where that came from.
My apologies, I was going on the sizes of the crowds I've seen at events. However your response proves your immaturity. Can't have a debate without resorting to childish name calling.
Actually, I have mud on my face today also. UFC ratings are steadily declining, and I'm reading now about some of the behind the scenes junk they've done as well. However, I like both boxing and mma. I think there is room for both sports.
I think boxing is harder. For one your conditioning have to be top notch to compete on the elite level. MMA can get away with poor condtioning because of all of the ground humping game that they get away with. Standing on your feet in a clinch takes more energy out of you then laying on your back for about a minute of each round. You have some MMA fighters that are skilled with there craft, but comparing both styles of fighting, there are more skilled boxers then there are MMA fighters. This could be because boxers focus on one craft while MMA focus on many, which in my opinion makes them appear less skilled and sloppy. There are some exceptional fighters, that possess the sweet science in MMA, but most of them look more like bar room brawlers. Most MMA fans will say that a MMA fighter would most likely beat the hell out of a boxer, but the truth is both fighters have a chance if neither has the advantage over the other. Putting a boxer in the cage under cage rules favor the MMA fighter and vice a versa with the MMA fighter under boxing rules, but a street fight is a whole other ball game.

Boxing ! You need conditioning in boxing in MMA not so much look at the fat slobs in MMA and then the fat slobs in boxing than compare
They're both hard. In boxing you are limited to only hitting the face and body and you can only use your hands. Because of this, boxing fights are sometimes visually more pleasing because you have 1 distance to control. Im mma, it depends on the fighters strength as to what distance he fights at. This can make for sloppy fights. It sounds like maybe you have never wrestled or done Judo or BJJ because groundwork is extremely taxing. Only pure BJJ tourneys really let you "lay there" and work for a position...in MMA you are getting hit with elbows, knees, punches while you "rest". The 2 are very different and are hard in different ways.
