I said he’d stick with southpaw against Spence, and for this I say he’ll switch to try and befuddle Canelo, he needs to as the much smaller man. I didn’t think he’d go orthodox against Spence because Spence is is a southpaw and Crawford probably isn’t as good at fighting southpaws whilst being in the orthodox stance and it also would give Spence an advantage.
I believe he will use both stances. But I feel he'll more than likely be in southpaw most of the night simply because Canelo uses his jab well to set up over hand and strong hook. At the end of the day. Canelo is still flat foot like Spence so Crawford will use a lot of angles when he gets in and out. Footwork gave guys like Amir Khan multiple opportunities of success for multiple rounds until getting clipped. Crawford being a better fighter than Khan and much smarter, we shouldn't be surprised to see him find many of those same successes and for a longer period of time than Khan.
He just needs to stay in the southpaw stance he always seems to get clipped when he switches and he doesn't want to get clipped by Canelo.
