Which stoppage loss was more damaging: Dubois TKO11 Wardley or Hrgovic TKO9 Itauma

Remains to be seen IMO.

Wardley's was 100% more physically damaging, he was a mess by the end, and it will be interesting to see how he handles bombs in the rematch, maybe his chin is cracked? But Itauma's will be more mentally damaging, can he take a loss? What happens with his team? If he was arrogant enough to think he didn't need a chin or spar 12 rounds, will he have the mental foritude to put the work in, eat humble pie and prove his naysayers wrong?

It all depends what they show in the next few fights IMO

 

His nose is also absolutely ****ed. I'm not usually one to read into body language stuff but I thought Wardley legitimately looked shook from DDDs sudden aggressive behaviour during their face off. I'd be very surprised if he can just shake off the memories of that prolonged beatdown.

Personally I think the immediate rematch is a bad idea, given Wardley's technical and strategic limitations, and I wouldn't be surprised to see him stopped even earlier. Once Dubois knows he has the beating of you he'll just keep coming like a dog. Unlikely Wardley wins imo.

 

Physically Wardley obviously, but Wardley is such a mentality Monster, it will probably come back and haunt him later in life some of these fights but you better believe it won’t deter him in anyway mentally. Wardley is the type of guy to be like Oh you got me last time, I’m getting that one back, you get me that man in the ring again asap, Itaumas mental strength we have no clue. I edge towards Itauma might struggle to overcome it which is a shame cause he’s damn good.

 

Wardley sustained far more damage, whereas Moses was more fatigued, he was swaying worse than a **** head at last orders.

Wardley was completely beat upon throughout the entire fight then beaten into submission. That fight took years of his career and he's still kinda a prospect.

 

Wardley is almost certainly done as a top fighter. Itauma has serious flaws in stamina, chin, and defense, but he still could become a force in maybe five years.

 

OMG! No comparison, Moses won nearly every round till gassing and getting stopped, he really didn't take that many shots Wardley was the total opposite taking a sustained beating for round after round.

 

Obviously Wardley got beaten pillar to post in one of the most uncomfortable fights there’s been, Wardley is what he is though, it was not exactly unexpected for anyone involved. Itauma didn’t take anywhere near that level of beating but he was never expected to nor was he expected to fade so shockingly like he did and get taken out so clinically. It’s a difference in the level of expectation and talent, neither fighter would ever get beaten in the way the other did because they have completely opposite attributes. It will be difficult for both of them to come back the same as they were. Doesn’t help that one is being thrown back in with the same lion.
