How can a very basic fighter like Garcia, with no footwork, average cognition of the use of jab, no ring cutting, and no defense, beat a high skilled fighter in Haney? Haney has one of the best jab in boxig, a great engine and stamina on the leg, a really good timing and movement, how could Garcia take advantage of his superior strenght and power, and speed? I think that Garcia has the power to KO Haney, but if he isnt able to dismantle the jab, he would be battered and annihilated.
But how could he do it?

I just don't think Haney will allow any strategy Garcia brings to be effective. If Garcia can land something big early he might become a chance but Haney is extremely hard to nail.

Catch and counter is Ryan's only chance. He actually has faster handspeed but his feet are ****, his defense is ****, and his ability to stalk or cut off the ring is ****. His team should drill him on countering with the left hook off Devin's jab. He's fast enough to counter and he definitely has the power to boink Haney...............

That's really the best gameplan for him. He ain't winning on points unless he were able to drop Haney like 3-4 times.

Use his hand speed to beat Haney to the punch and then move off to avoid the counter. But he won't do it. He doesn't have the ring IQ or the footwork, he'll do what he did vs Tank and go right at the counter puncher lead and then just stand there to be countered after throwing.

I had hoped he'd keep developing but he's plateaued and quite frankly he's Adrien Broner 2.0 right now. Great at self promotion, some natural talent but has not got the mind set or the work ethic to make the most of that talent.

Follow that sparing video style. Heavy heavy pressure. Jump on him and throw a lot of punches, keep him running the whole time.
