Which strategy would you advise Froch to employ to beat Taylor, if you trained him?

Conversely, which strategy would you advise Taylor to employ to maximise his chances of beating Froch and minimise his chances of losing to Froch, if you were his trainer?

i would advise froch to establish his will power on taylor early with his jab, keep his hands up and catch taylor flat footed, as the rounds go on i woould want froch going to the body to ensure taylor brings his hands down and tires, when taylor drops his hands i would advise froch to push taylor back, keep him on the ropes so he can unload with powerful shots and get off with the uppercut to get the KO

Go into a brawl with Taylor, put pressure on him.

Pick and choose the shots over the first couple of rounds. Don't worry about losing them, just make sure he feels the power of a few well chosen jabs and uppercuts. Taylor will get disheartened and the end will be nigh.

Yep, I know that's very simple, but that's how I find it.

If I were Froch's trainer, I'd ask him to try and employ the strategy that Hopkins did, in his second fight with Taylor, but only after letting Taylor get into the fight and gain confidence, like he did, in the first Hopkins fight, for example. The thought behind it would be that Taylor would start very strong, put round after round in the bank, expend plenty of energy, look great, fight with confidence, and then start underrating Froch, start to coast and make mistakes, get counterpunched more and more, get hit by big one-off shots, and get taken into a brawl late on. Taylor would start to get tired and he'd get roughed up by power-flurries. This, in my view, is the best strategy to ensure a Froch win. Froch wins by T/KO, in the very late rounds.

If I were Taylor's trainer, I'd ask him to fight like he did in the second Pavlik fight and save as much energy and strength for the final rounds. I'd ask him to try to outbox Froch and score points whilst not putting much power behind his punches, whilst not getting out of position, whilst not losing his balance or falling over his work in attack. I'd ask him to stay off the ropes, to avoid moving back in a straight line and to avoid fighting flat-footed. I'd ask him to snap his jab and double it up and look to draw Froch into leading, so that he can be counterpunched. Taylor is no counterpuncher, but Froch can be counterpunched fairly easily by someone with Taylor's qualities, and Taylor is better off counterpunching and boxing rather than fighting and getting counterpunched himself by Froch. This, in my view, is the best strategy to ensure a Taylor win. Taylor wins by decision, after some surviving a late rally and some rough moments.

Don't just stand there hands down in range. Establish his jab. Control centre of the ring. Pressure him. Keep him off balance and look to land hurtful punches.

Taylor's only chance of winning is to outbox Froch, which shouldn't be too hard since Froch is easily outboxed. Froch has to find a way to prevent Taylor from using the the age old strategy of stick and move. This will be something new, Froch is not accustomed to dealing with world class boxers.
