both were great but i think robinson has the better legacy and he was really the best p4p fighter in the world
If its who we prefer, since almost none of us never got to watch Robinson live on t.v. we should all really prefer Leonard. He was the late 70s and 80s star attraction who happened to also put on great performances. For many of us, Tyson and Leonard were the 2 most popular fighters of our era.
Theres lil footage of prime Robinson, for that reason we have t say Leonard, record wise though Robinson is difficult to beat...
The best footage of Robinson out there is more than convincing enough though, depending on how much you've seen. Not to mention there actually is a fair bit of footage of him at WW (some of which I've seen), it's just very rare and hardly any of it is full footage, mostly clips and highlights and whatnot. From what I've seen of Robinson at his best, mainly in his earlier days at MW when he first made the move up and was still right around his physical peak, he looks brilliant. Hell, when he's on he looks great all the way up to his late 30's in his final days as MW champion.
I've seen them both fight--Robinson can be seen in many fights on ESPN Classic...From what I've seen he is very very good at what he did...I'd consider him THE GOAT...
