Neither, because DLH dominated Trinidad. Hopkins and Wright openly admit they followed DLH's game plan.
Why do people act like Manny Steward when some upsets happen? Hopkins was something of a 4-1 underdog against Tarver yet people dismiss that. He was also an underdog against Pavlik and even I, one of Hopkins' biggest fans on here, was questioning whether he cold pull it off but I had a feeling he would. "Those fights went exactly how I thought they would" GTFO of here with that. I'm a "baby" so I can't vote. I got into boxing in when I was 14 so that was like 4 years ago between late 05-06 before Oct 11. But what I don't have in age I make up for in knowledge.
I can't vote in my own poll because I wasn't following boxing as thoroughly as I do now, but I can't help but suspect that there's some revisionist history going on in the polls. I'm only suspecting this because both Hopkins and Wright were pretty big dogs to Trinidad....and to be pretty big dogs and virtually win every single round in both fights is pretty rare. I'm curious for the voters who voted neither, why were you not surprised by either? Was it because of Trinidad's performance against ODLH?
It is easy to look back and say those guys weren't that good but at the time hey were all top ratted boxers at 154 and 160.
