    Multiple choice poll...

let the people know what you voted. for whatever reason, maybe you think its disrespectful. give your fair or unfair examples of one, e.g. mayweather is a ducker.....or beibet shumenov is a paper champion...or ggg is a hypejob.

you're putting some good thought into these threads. respect.

this is a shoe-in for me....calling every man and his dog a 'world champion' just because they have a belt. couldn't be further from the truth

    "Quitter"

Funny to hear somebody sitting on their couch say that of a professional boxer.

The only "quitter" boxers there are are the ones who never stepped in the ring.

I wouldn't abolish the term, but the term 'all time great' is massively over used.

I hear it branded about for guys like Cotto- who's probably a Hall of Famer- sure, but 'all-time' to me means even casual boxing fans will always talk about them. In 250 years, are people going to be talking about Cotto? No. Will they be talking about the likes of Sugar Ray Robinson, Henry Armstrong and Muhammed Ali still, for their record setting accomplishments? Most likely, yes- that is a true ATG.

    BUM. Drives me crazy
    this is for most boxers.....
Boxing is dedication and a tremendous amount of work. work when tired, work when injured, work when you just don't want to, and a guy loses a fight or doesn't look good in a fight and right away he's a 'BUM"...

I don't know if i explained that well, but

Bum- chef described that one well

Great white hope- it's 2014, people. Drove me crazy to see Pavlik called that despite being lineal champion and with the other middleweight beltholders being white guys. Not sure what more people looking for a great white hope would've had as a goal. If winning the title via knockout doesn't shake the label, it begs the question of what the hell are they hoping for?

Over and underrated- boxers have no control over this. It all comes from the fans or media doing the rating, yet it's somehow become an indicator of quality. The terms are extremely overused, if nothing else.

Leftovers is very disrespectful. Lose one fight and suddenly you are somebody's leftovers.

Bum and Coward are the two that stand out for me. I don't think anyone who steps into the ring is either.

Most of the others are legitimate descriptors, imo.

Glass jaw, for some reason everybody loves to use this term. If fighter gets stopped all of a sudden he has a glass jaw
