None, really. I would say his best chance would be for Povetkin to beat Wilder and win the WBC title. Because Povetkin has proven he will fight anyone. For various reasons, I see no chance of Klitschko/Fury/Joshua/Wilder taking the fight.
Tough call at this stage. Fury would be the worst line to aim for I suspect, Joshua is looking like a weapon but it's hard to know if Martin brought his best game or if Joshua is really THAT good - Martin looked pretty rubbish against Joshua and sometimes it's hard to objectively determine if it's one of those "A great fighter makes a decent fighter look bad" or if it just really was that... I'm half inclined to put AJ as the "easiest" just because he's still less proven at a high level than either Wilder or Povetkin but the eye test has me a bit conflicted there. AJ could soon prove to be a nightmare for anyone.
He'd knock Wilder out into next week but Povetkin is going to end the Wilder hype train next month. The other titlists won't risk fighting him, Fury flat out said he would never fight Ortiz.
HBO picked Ortiz, not because HBO gives a **** about the Heavyweight division, but to pick a possible spoiler. That's on the foul side, so I can see promoters being upset at that, and freezing him out on purpose. Ortiz is going to have to find another dangerous fighter, or a fighter with pedigree and look spectacular to keep up the pressure on the title holders. I would've said Wilder is his best bet, but I don't think Al Haymon and Golden Boy are getting along. Ortiz is really on the outside looking in and he's running out of time.
If he maintains his current WBA strap then he should get a shot at the WBA Regular within the next year. After that, he should get a mandatory shot at the Super WBA titleist by November 2017.
Oops sorry, misread. Yes, WBA tournament means Ortiz fights Ustinov and the winner of that fight the winner of Klitschko and Fury 2
I think the only way he'll get a title shot is through getting a mandatory shot through WBA. Too bad, he may be 39 before that happens. Hopefully, he'll put together an impressive resume and also become more popular and lucrative before that and it will be a real big match.
