Fighter A - who wins his fight by 7th round KO. He loses 3 of the rounds on the way to victory and it was close all the way through until the KO. Or..... Fighter B - who wins his fight via UD - and wins 9 of the 12 rounds en route to this decision. There are no knockdowns in this fight and his opponent didn't look hurt at any stage.
fighter B i'd say is more impressive. for all we know fighter A closed his eyes and threw the luck punch (rahman vs lewis). by the way are you talking about taylor and pavlik????
Same **** different day. Depends, did fighter A KO who hadnt been KOd before? did fighter B out box one of the world purest boxers?
So your talking about Pavlik's win over Taylor OR Calzaghe's win over Kessler? I reckon Pavlik lost more than 3 rounds personally, but that's neither here nor there... In terms of who was the bigger name at the time, Pavlik's win over Taylor would be bigger... But, imo, Calzaghe's win over Kessler was the *better* win... Now, if you weren't talking about EITHER of these fights, sorry... I stand corrected.
Class of opponent is irrelevant, I'm just wondering whether people value outboxing more in terms of reading form or whether early stoppages are more important.
people deffinately value outboxing fighters more. thats why calzaghe earned enou respect from the lacy fight. but knock out can happen to any1.
