I think he could beat Pulev. Joyce was a hard matchup for him, huge iron chinned guy with a jab and a good engine
Chisora looked better v Usyk than Dubois did v Joyce, he ate so many jabs, it was like Joyce just couldn`t miss with that shot.
Dubois was rushed too quickly. He needs to stay away from the top 10 fighters for now and get some rounds under his belt. At 23 years old it wouldn’t be too much to fight Wach, Hammer, and Takam level guys for another year or two, since they can can challenge Dubois, but are still beatable. If Dubois is patient with his development I still think he has the potential to be a champion in the future. A few years ago Dubois stepped up and fought Keven Johnson, who was a durable and experienced fighter he could learn from, but for whatever reason took several steps back and started fighting very weak competition again, which clearly didn’t prepare him for the top fighters in the division.
Adeleye wanted the loser... Two young guns with big flaws slugging it out. Not how prospects should be managed though, especially when they need to be working on their late fight game, composure and boxing skills.
Pulev is a less hittable but less strong and fit Joyce with a better jab. i dont see dubois beating him based on that.
The question was 'could', yeah he could beat chisora. To a lesser extent Whyte. None of they others has he a **** show right now.
He gets beat by ALL of them easily. Probably the highest ranked guy he could beat is the kebab shop worker Manuel Charr , or bums like Dominic Breazeale and Tom Schwarz. That's his ceiling.
