Which two fighters hated eachother most in boxing history ?

The hate in this one was more one sided than most. Came mainly from Hagler. Well before they fought. Got worse after.

 

The Cobra and the Mongoose. Moore and Ezzard got on as well as there names implied from what I’ve read. I think it was a little one sided though. Moore said as I’ve seen. “You’re not special out here you’re just another N” during I think the fight he was winning. Check me on that.

 

To be fair a lot of the guys he fought weren’t very likeable, back then anyways. It’s a competitive situation so I get it.

 

Well it makes sense. Considering how badly Hagler blew his chances and gifted the fight to Leonard, it is logical he was mad to Leonard but even more mad at himself.

On the other side, Leonard, if anything, must have been a very happy camper and LHAO at how Hagler fooled himself.

 

Norton said everyone was racist. In the 90s, after his car accident, when his memory was affected and he could barely remember certain important historical events, he still seemed to remember just fine that Quarry and Cooney were "prejudiced against blacks."

Also, I seem to remember that his son married a white woman and there was some tension between them because of it, but it has been many years since Jr was playing and I am not sure I am remembering that right.

 

Robinson was independent. He did do business with them but He would never sign exclusively with the IBC because as put it "other promoters pay in American currency as well." He was able to go overseas and test that market when he first won the middleweight title.

 

Robinson had signed exclusively with the IBC by the time he regained the title from Olson.

Bowe and Lewis. Until at least recently when Bowe approached Lennox and made “peace”. Even then, Lennox didn’t appear sure that Riddick wasn’t going to attack him - LOL.

Going well back in time, no love lost between Fitz and Corbett. Also, Battling Nelson and Ad Wolgast weren’t too keen on one another.

Tyson and Green had another fight in the street.
That's saying something though. I don't know how much the other boxers "hated each other for the press", but the fight on the street (after the fight in the ring) is proof that they really didn't like each other.

Lennox Lewis did call out Holyfiedl for being a hypocrite at that time. Evander had alot of kids to a bunch of different women Lewis pointed out that wasnt consistent with his religious rhetoric.

That might be a reason because he got personal.

I like Lewis as a fighter but he had an arrogance about him toward his opponents. He intimidated more than a few of them. Razor Ruddock and Golota being the two most obvious examples.
