Sorry - there's no way that AA is ever in A Hagler - Hearns fight. He does't trade, he plods about in his shell and then throws a couple of power shots. Not comparable

:dealEven that fight wasnt suppose to turn out like that. It was just pleasant surprise.

But the best fight that wont last long would prob be Kirkland vs Lemieux.

:deal Kirkland-Williams? Martinez-WilliamsIII? Kirkland-Angulo is one that's been in demand for the last year or so? Pavlik at 168 now, is he? Pavlik-Andrade good, nonstop action.

    This.

People need to remember it by watching it. Greatest 3 rounds EVER! They both decided "**** it, we're fighting tonight and the stronger man is walking out." It was a rare combination of both boxing skills and attitude that brought about that fight.

I agree. Hagler/Hearns was all about two top guys fighting for simple ego purposes in 1985 who were both over-confident and a little cocky.
Neither guy could back down really. I also think both guys almost knew they could knock out the other guy. Hagler was not going to back down against a big punching guy who fought at 147 and 154 who was stopped by Leonard, and Hearns was not going to back down to Hagler whom he started to dislike and thought was overrated. Hagler and Hearns grew to dislike each other. Funny thing is now they like each other and Hagler doesn't like Leonard.

I do think Pacman could produce a fight like this. I am not sure which opponent of his would match him. Has to be a unique situation. Someday it will happen again and will be as unpredictable as Hagler/Hearns was that night. For a fight which was so great, the fact is both guys fought recklessly and the fight plan was not smart for either.
