TBH there all crap, Channel 5 have the Sweet Scientist in Mr. Bernstein so they win by a country mile in my book. When he's not there they fall even lower then Sky and Boxnation.

Was on a train with Dave Clark BTW, He was rushing i think to do a Sky Sports countdown show. He seemed a shy fella, no sign of arrogance or rudeness. Tall guy as well thought he was a lot smaller. He was up there with Johnny Nelson in the **** poor fashion stakes. Either that or he wanted to keep a low profile .

I know. Rawling has shite knowledge given he's a commentator.

And of course, don't expect the equally useless Barry Jones to correct him

Agree on Ian Darke he is a great announcer a shame It seems he doesn't do Boxing any more, I'm pretty sure he has a cushy job doing PL coverage for the US market now.

Can't stand Rawling he really gets on my nerves TBH I don't know why BN don't ditch him and get McIntosh on more often.

McIntosh is fine as a presenter, but regularly "goes off on one" when allowed on to commentary.

5 live is fantastic and the debate they also have when Costello and Bunce are on are quality.

boxnation for me, followed by channel 5 lost count the amount of times im watching a sky broadcast and jim watt and co are babbling on about something or the other makes me wonder if they watching the same fight, not an easy job but simple things are just that

been suprised at paul smith doing a good job

Boxnation. I think Barry Jones is a superb commentator.

Bernstein is top draw . I'm a big fan of Steve Holdsworth particularly when he works with Bob Mee. Everyone else is tolerable or worse. In all seriousness I would love to see Boxnation team up Steve Bunce with Ron Boddy as their commentary team .

Channel 5 when they have Bernstein over.

Skys commentary annoys me tbh, because Jim Watt has a very annoying habit of picking one guy, and never mentioning the good work of the other guy. Yeah Jim, we get it, Pacquiao is dominating the fight but Clottey just landed a peach of a counter that you seem to have ignored! Get tired of the cliches too "his legs have gone", "these are just arm punches". Very irritating.

As for their analysis, it's generally very bland, with folks like Nicky Piper and Glenn McRory never providing any great insight or saying anything but the obvious. Johnny Nelson will try to interrupt instead of waiting for the other guys to finish their point. Barry McGuigan is good, but generally their analysis is bland. The other thing that annoys me about Sky is post fight coverage. In many big fights they've gone off air without even waiting for both fighters post fight interviews. The post fight analysis is not in depth enough either. It's like they can't wait to go off air so they can start showing the darts or some ****. Seems very rushed.

Boxnation commentary is good, but Bunce's analysis is horrendous. I don't know about his radio show but on boxnation he couldn't make his bias more obvious if he had a pair of pom poms and started cheerleading. Just awful.

The American coverage is light years ahead. Slick, passionate, but professional. HBO know how to do hype, they know how to create an event and make people excited. Showtime too. Good on channel 5 for hiring Bernstein.

Mc Guigan is the best pundit by miles, never afraid to speak the truth,Ian Darke is the best boxing commentator,as much as i cant stand Jim Watt at times he does have a good voice for boxing where as Rawlings just sounds like some posh guy who works in parliament..
