Which upset that a journeyman managed to pull off were you most stoked about?

When i think of a journeyman i think of Jeremy Horn or someone with more losses than wins i guess.

Obviously these guys are no mugs, but they beat ELITE fighters when they were just considered cannon fodder, Werdum less so than the other 2.

But if Serra and Kev aren't journeymen then I dont know who are

Serra borderline but Randleman most certainly a journeyman, although there is something about Randleman that doesn't have the journeyman feel about him in his prime........ he was a very dangerous fighter back then.

As I said before, a bloke like Horn has always had that stigma behind him.

Serra always put in good losing efforts, but he lost against most of the top guys he faced none the less. Im not trying to **** on Serra, enjoy his fights, but his best Post GSP win is Trigg

And Kev was the definition of lay and pray. Effective wrestling, absolutely, dangerous...maybe didnt live up to his full potential but he wasnt a great finisher of fights

And I agree about Horn, the Chuck win is HUGE if you look back on it now. But at the time Chuck was a 2 fight rookie and had a good win against Pele in Brazil too his name

Nah, though maybe I do underrate Lauzon. He's still never really been in the title mix though.

He was a nobody before his win over Pulver, and he returned to being a journeyman nobody soon after that fight. Hence his appearance on TUF as a contestant, and having the show barely even acknowledge that he already held a quick stoppage victory over the opposing team's coach.

Also he was a big outsider coming up against Guillard. That fight was supposed to be all about Guillard looking spectacular and cementing top contender status. He was supposed to be a talented fighter on the rise.

    :hat

Yeah maybe I picked a couple of upsets with regards to FW/FE & BJ/MH, but I dont hink for me Randleman and Serra fit this bill

Siver/Aussie George was a pretty good one.

Junior Dos Santos when he fought Werdum. I remember watching that live, it was his first fight in the UFC, no one had ever heard of him, from memory he was a late replacement for someone else and we were laughing at the 'purple belt' in his attributes when he was getting checked out before stepping in the cage. Then BANG. New favourite fighter ever.
