    Ross wasn't much of a puncher, but as mentioned above he knew how to move and how to utilize that left hand. Usually such a description recalls a pure boxer who prefers to stay on the outside and keep his distance, but Ross wasn't like that. He was right in the firing line the whole time, mixing it up where he had to while maintaining his boxing acumen. He was unnaturally tough, and undersized for his weight class but he never suffered for it.

    Well, until Armstrong I mean........
