Which was worse: Hopkins-Calzaghe or Wlad-Iggy?

Wlad/Sultan, the fight was the worst Heavyweight title fight I seen in years, and as much as I hate Wlad for various reasons, I still find him exciting to watch, and havent missed a fight of his live since 02 I believe.

Hopkins/Calzaghe was pretty good early on, but as the fight went on it got worse and worse, but like a poster already said, the knockdown in the first round was more exciting than all 12 round of the Iggy/Wlad fight.

 

As a fight the Wlad one was worse - For the supposed skill level of XZag and Hops - That was bloody awful and ugly.

But it was also expected.

 

Close fight without a lot of action > One-sided fight without a lot of action

Then there's the expectation factor. With Wlad, although there's always the chance that he'll hold too much and be overly cautious, he's also a big puncher so you have hope that there will be a crowd-pleasing KO.

Did anyone expect Hopkins-Calzaghe to be an action-packed, aesthetically pleasing fight?
