Don't understand why people purposely avoid smaller weightclasses. I don't know a lot about 118> because its mostly dominated by non-English speaking countries but some great fights are fought there. e.g. Juan Jose Montes-Oscar Ibarra.
It saddens me the amount of people that have mentioned super featherweight as their least favourite :verysad
I think a lot of it is to do with there being little, or no, British fighters sub-bantam. When you're not getting to see the lower weights being well represented on domestic cards and instead have these weights dominated by small asian men with funny names it's going to be difficult to drum up interest in this country. Ofcourse you have exceptions to this, like Pabby, who identified that liking any boxer weighing upwards of 9st was just too mainstream, so decided to dedicate his boxing viewing to the lower end of the scale.
For me historically it's alsways been the heavies, but at the moment its the Middles / Super Middles:bbb
Yeah it's mostly this, not just here but in the US and Europe as well. There isn't a lot of coverage so you have to go out of your way to find a grainy fight with foreign commentary, between 2 guys whose names you can't pronounce. Whereas watching a welterweight fight that HBO showed is easy.
What you on about ??? [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnHadeGGedI"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnHadeGGedI[/ame] :rofl
All divisions interest me domestically But worldwide the heavies are still my favourite. I'm looking forward to dimentrenko vs piles and gerber vs Harris on Saturday
