Until spence gets his shot, (or any of the other shining contenders) which of the top guys do you pick to handle the rest?
Of those names, One Time or Special K. Neither is a shoe-in, though. Both will, to some extent, always be unable to shake that aura of being "the guy that almost got Kerry Hoped by Carson Jones" and "the guy that Boo-Boo Andrade schooled multiples times in the amateurs", respectively. They are IMO the best two young welters and most likely to inherit the division's throne and co-reign for years to come - but they both have a distinct air of vulnerability about them which I think might never go away.,
I agree, but feel like Garcia could possibly beat either based on counter punching ability alone. He's the wild card in my eyes, unpredictable to me.
Agreed, he's not popular on here but he's very experienced and has good skills despite his flaws Porter to me is one dimensional but his dimension is very good and he's well conditioned and very tough Thurman has impressed me but I need to see more I was very impressed by vargas in his last fight but I've been highly critical Brooklyn to me is the safe pick to run the table with Garcia a close 2nd
Thurman - beats Garcia, Porter, probably Vargas, Brook a toss up. Brook - beat Porter, beats Garcia, beats Vargas, Thurman a toss up Vargas - beats Garcia, loses to brook, loses to Thurman, Porter a close fight which I think he wins Porter - lost to Brook, loses to Thurman, toss up with Vargas, toss up with Garcia (though I favour Porter) Garcia - loses to Brook, loses to Thurman, loses to Vargas, toss up with Porter.
