    Interesting poll from Sherdog.

As it stands right now, its 59-41 to UFC.

Let's see what our forums think.

mayweather-marquez - im a big ufc fan and im a vitor belfort fan but im watching mayweather-marquez on sept 19. I think boxing will sell more this time just cuz of the big names that are fighting.

Belfort-Franklin is a good fight but they're fight is not as big as mayweather-marquez.

I dont understand why people take it sooo personaly with Floyd. Floyd is a fighter first in the eyes of the fans. He's one of the best talents in the history of the sport. Thats all that matters. This is a very solid comebacking fight. Iv got a feeling its going to be boring though as both men are counter punchers. Stylistically this says 12 round bore to me. Unless Floyd goes on the front foot and is looking to walk Marquez down..

its gonna be close and gbp and the ufc will probably lie about their figures, the most intriguing fight of the night is mayweather marquez, the ufc will be event of the night because they can put on shows and fight of the night will be katsidis escobeda

Do both events clash in the same time slot?
personally I would watch both events and pay for both PPV's.

It all began when Floyd started to play the good/bad guy depending on who he was fighting. This made people love and hate him as well as make him mainstream.

Floyd's been off for two years and is facing the 2nd best P4P fighter in the world on his comeback. This is irrefutable proof that if you hate him, no matter who he fights it'll be personal to them.

this will not be close....it will be a 3-1 blowout in favor of boxing......this is not like dana white to make a statement like this......its usually boxing that says something negative about mma this time its ufc trashing boxing.....it shows to me that white knows ufc is about to get crushed, and this was his appeal not to the casual fan, but the hardcore ufc fan to get as many of the "base" to tune in.....because boxing has focused its marketing on the casual fan...

3-1 blowout for mayweather-marquez of ufc......

I think we also have to remember that these two are two of the best p4p fighters in the world going up against Franklin and Belfort.

What if it was Mayweather/Marquez vs GSP/Silva?

I picked Marquez Mayweather, but I wouldn't be surprised if I'm wrong. The UFC seems to be building a reliable fan base that are purchasing almost monthly regardless of what names are on the card. Where I live, I hear more and more people speaking of UFC events like it's their monthly ritual.
