dana white is so full of ****, he offered fedor crap load of money and fedor said "**** you" not to ufc, but to dana white, fedor knows better not to business with him..... and roy jones is not helping the cause by hyping up anderson silva.... mma is ufc......they have there other organisations, but white knows mma business, and his goal is to put those companies out of business, then he will really go after boxing.... but sorry dana looked like a scared puppy dog in that fake presser of his..... i hate mma and ufc,but i follow it just to see what white and co. will say and do next....

no i follow it because they really do want to kill boxing, i have NEVER, let me repeat NEVER ordered a mma ppv, an i will NEVER order a mma event....i usually read the "headlines" to keep myself informed.... i hardly ever post in the mma forum, but the white comments and his past few comments since march have pissed me off
Over here in the UK the UFC events are always free (never PPV). Though mayweather v marquez is PPV. Just that I would have to stay up until 5am to watch it.
The reality of it all is that both will have numbers far below what they should have had.Boxing shot itself in the foot by going head to head with the UFC.It was totally unecessary but thats the way GBP rolls. To answer the question,the UFC will have the sizeable edge in PPV buys and especially in the bars,where the UFC is outselling boxing by 100 to 1.
myweather has been inactive for 20 months marquez is number 2 behind pac they are not the 2 best gsp silva gets **** on by pac floyd prob by at least 750,000 more buys as for next weekend, worldwide marquez mayweather will be watched by millions more people
Franklin-Belfort will probably pull in a little less than 400,000 - the usual for a Franklin headlined PPV. The hardcore fans will buy a Franklin show, but the bandwagon fan isn't impressed enough to pony up; and Belfort is a bit past sell date at this time to grow the usual numbers up much more.
I think Boxing will do a bit more but they wont dominate by any means. The UFC card is a very good one but its not stacked with superfights and great draws. The matchup im really intrigued about is Pac/Cotto on the same night as Brock/Carwin and Tito/Coleman since Tito and Brock are 2 of the biggest draws in MMA.
UFC fights are too easy to find on the internet immediately after, so I only buy BJ Penn, GSP, Anderson or any other GREAT cards.
Pretty much but so is Brock look at the PPV numbers for his 4 UFC bouts the last 2 which had him headlining with Couture and then in July which was the biggest PPV ever its like ok maybe you can say its not all on him. But for his first fight with Frank that wasnt a huge card but sold big and the one with Herring where it wasnt exactly stacked with the bigtime draws it still sold big. I cant imagine boxing beating Brock Lesnar and Tito Ortiz.
I'll have to go with Mayweather/Marquez. It's definitely a bigger draw than Franklin/Belfort although I'm very interested in that fight.
I've been thinking the same thing - but there's a part of me that wonders if Floyd won't come out looking to make a statement resulting in something that looks like a combination of Mayweather/Gatti and round one of the first Pacquiao/Marquez fight. Needless to say - if this is the case - there won't be a round two.
