jones over toney or pacquiao over de la hoya think about it jones went up from 160 to 168 to fight arguably the best p4p fighter at the time and won every round and schooled him pacquiao went up from 135 to 147 and fought cash cow de la hoya who was coming off a split decision loss to mayweather and a decent win over forbes and beat him from pillar to post now toney was however considered to have lost a rediculous amount of weight and was on a drip over night where he rehydrated to something like an extra 25 pounds, which could show he really struggled with weight rather than getting into fighting shape de la hoya was fighting at 154 against mayweather 19 months earlier and 150 7 months earlier now to be honest oscar looked pretty skinny at both them weight but hes never really had a jeff lacy body figure he was fighting 7 pounds under his supposed usual fight weight but only 3 pounds under his usual fight weight now considering this, seemed rather dumb he left it until really late to even bother (if he did at all) to rehydrate himself also he was way past prime when toney was definatley now however, a move from 160 to 168 is easier than 135-147 i personally think jones win was as toney had pretty spent his entire career battling with weight and befriending burger king whilst many think of de la hoya as lazy and the fact that he may not have over trained but been under weight and under prepared with like 50 different career trainers plus roach knew alot about him SO WHICH DO YOU THINK WAS THE MORE IMPRESSIVE WIN:bbb
Jones-Toney is the clear winner. Both great performances, but Jones-Toney was a significantly better win.
Toney was at the top of his game and one of the best in the sport. De La Hoya was doing more crossdressing than boxing when Pacquiao beat the stockings off him. That's not to belittle Pacquiao's win, because it was more significant than most give him credit for, but this is a terrible ******* thread, and that's coming from a huge Pacquiao fan.
Oscar wasnt even a factor in boxing when manny fought him(sre manny went up 2 divisions but a old oscar dropped one....roy and james were both prime and p4p......clear winner
Both were similarly dominant performances. Even if Toney was weight-drained some have claimed, nowhere near as bad as Oscar. Plus Toney was in his prime and top 3 P4P, Oscar was some way past his best.
Jones by a landslide. Why would you even compare these two fights? Manny has better wins on his resume than Oscar.
