I find it a bit amuzing that the same pac haters that want to discredit his win over Hatton saying that Hatton was shot think that JMM deserves acolades for his win over casamayor. Here are the facts. Age at time of ass kicking Hatton 30 Casamayor 37 Official record at time of ass kicking Hatton 45-1 Casamayor 48-4-1 Method of victory Manny - dominating 2nd round KO JMM - Hard fought yet 11th round TKO Both guys were the man to beat in their respective division. and both Manny and Casa were moving up in weight. In the fights leading into their loss, Casamayor looked like complete crap and got a gift against Santa Cruz and stuggled with Katsidis to eventually KO him Hatton struggled with lazcano and dominated Malinagi TKOing the guy that Miguel Cotto was unable to. hatton's only loss was to p4p #1 mayweather Jr. Given these facts I just don't see how you can hold the casamayor win in a higher regard than the hatton win.
Hatton win was way more impressive. Pac took him out in 2 rounds and didn't even break a sweat. Marquez took longer to take out casamayor not to mention it was a close fight before the knockout happened.
Pac's victory was more impressive. **** what the haters say however, JMM's win was also impressive in my book.
No doubt it was impressive especially since Casa had never been KO'd before but I don't see how somone can discredit the pacqauio win without pointing a finger right back at JMM.
Hatton's is 43 and 0 and WHO'S only loss was against PBF who was the P4P #1 then . . . before he lost to Pac. Casamayor already lost to Castillo and Diego Coralles, struggled against Santa Cruz and Katsidis before he lost to JMM. I edited just to add up . . . it took PBF . . . the former p4p #1 10 rounds . . . to stop Hatton while Pac made it in just 2 rounds. On the JMM/Casamayor fight . . . it's a close fight until the KO at the 11th. So talk about impressive . . . there's no comparison Pac over Hatton is way above.
I see what you're getting at, it stumps how some people can't accept that both Pac and JMM are truly elite fighters and feel the need to slag off one of them as if to prove the others greatness. To be fair to Pac fans, you'll find alot more JMM fans dissing Pac than you do vice-versa.
Pacquiao over Hatton. JMM over J.Diaz was just as impressive tho, IMO. (If we are going based on their last fights)
Both great wins, but Pacman is head and shoulders above JMM comparing the two fights, most of the reasons already stated above. If you'd been asking you had the better win when moving up to lightweight (D.Diaz/Casamayor) no question JMM.
That tends to happen whenever you have a rivalry between 2 great fighters. Like DLH fans always dissing trinidad and vise versa or RJJ fans and Toney fans or hopkins fans. One set of fans seems to despise the other guy.
Whats with the malinagy thing that means nothing, you should know styles make fights and malignagi is a durable fighter. Hatton is trash that got treated like a stepchild from his 2 fights that actually meant something.
Excellent point. More importanlty you argued and articulated your point so well that it's hard to counter.
