So in his last several fights, Edision Miranda has been defeated by a who's who in the 160 and 168 lb divisions.

However, which win was the most impressive against him? Kelly Pavlik backed up Pantera and scored a 7th round TKO after hitting him with concussive blows and combinations that took their toll. There is IBF MW champ Arthur Abraham who ruthless landed left hooks in route to a dramatic 4th round knockout. Finally, there was Saturday night's performance by the undefeated and unified NABF/NABO SMW champ Andre Ward where he just thoroughly outboxed Pantera. Each champ mentioned took a different route to victory.

Vote and comment on the most impressive win.

Pavlik did it first and at a time when the Pantera seemed to have an aura of incredible invicibility around him. He was propped by HBO as basically the Champion Emeritus and was just waiting to take JT's belts.

Night of the fight, HBO showed a 15 min. documentary about the life of Edison, then was like: "Oh, yeah. Kelly Pavlik is here too", as he came running to the ring.

After that it took Edison some softies to get confidence back and after he blasted David Banks thru the ropes, he thought he was ready. Along came AA 2.....

I voted Pavlik but now I think about it maybe Abraham. Pavlik did it first and in dominating style so kudos to him for that. However, Abraham took him out earlier and gave up all the advantages to do it (moved up in weight, fought on Miranda's turf) which Pavlik did not have to do.

    Ward is nowhere close.

Abraham KO4 at super middleweight catchweight of 166

Miranda was still legitimat eand less weight drained than with Pavlik.

It took one sweet short right hand for AA to hurt Miranda and 3 more shots landing clean to finish him off. Abraham did that in Miranda's weight class, before his crowd and vs. the Pantera who admitted he was in the best shape of his life. Very impressive.

Pavlik's win was the more impressive win. Miranda was really an unbeatten fighter at that time. the first fight with AA was a rip off, and Miranda was jobbed. So Kelly took a very confident fighter, who felt that he should have been a champion. Ward had the easiest time of beatting Miranda.

I think Abraham's broken jaw win was the best.

Pavlik because he was able to beat Miranda at his own game. Miranda's shots seemed to bounce harmlessly off of Pavliks head and he just destroyed him.

    Pavliks KO.

Miranda also took a savage beating, no fighter could ever be the same after that.

    Abraham got the left overs.

Ward is very skilled but comon, do you think Ward would have faced the Miranda Pavlik faced.

    damaged goods

The Abraham rematch was the most impressive - because AA just blasted Miranda out when everyone was expecting a long drawn out battle.

That said - the Pavlik fight was the most exciting - whilst the Ward fight was the most technically impressive.

Miranda makes for good fights. Here's to hoping he sticks around.

Regarding Ward's win, we're getting into revisionist history a bit now after the fact. Prior to the fight - the majority opinion was that Ward didn't have the power to "keep Miranda off him." Ward schooled Miranda so now everyone is crying "damaged goods" in an effort to denigrate Ward's accomplishment.

Perhaps you were saying this before the fight and if so I apologize. I am responding more to this notion of Miranda being damaged goods rather than to you directly.

Yes and he would have still beat him the same way. Vs Ward Miranda was out of his league and it showed. Even though both Pavlik and AA stopped Miranda he was in all three fights, in fact he should have won the fight with AA the first time, and was even with Pavlik when he got stopped there. Vs Ward he was totally outclassed and had no answers. I think what happened is that fight was Miranda landed a few bomb on Ward and he didnt even make him stop or back up, at which point Miranda knew he was in trouble.

the question was impressive not easy. Better styles make different fights. Miranda didnt have a chance vs Ward. But he did in all three fights with AA and Pavlik. Not saying that Ward would be an automatic winner over those two, but just that his style never allowed Miranda to be in the fight. Miranda did know what was coming. One round Ward would push him into the ropes and bang the hell out of him, the next round he would make Miranda follow him around the ring eatting shot after shot, then the next round he would chase miranda around the ring.

That mother****er was never weight drained at 160... that excuse was just his bull**** way of justifying the asswhooping he got against Pavlik.
