Which win was better Tyson ko4 Holmes or Lewis ko4 Rahman

He was off, fight to fight 20 months, then knock off a couple months for training. These days it wouldnt have been considered such a huge layoff. Holmes wouldnt have done any better against that version of Tyson, tuneup fight or not.
To Holmes credit he fought well, just got caught by a monster righthand, and never recovered.

 

Tyson KO over Holmes was greater, it was the only knockout of Holmes career and he would have 2 title fights after and was able to go the distance and put on good performance's in them fights, also remember that Mike was only 21 - 22 at the time.

Holmes was past his best of course but its not that Mike won the fight that is impressive but the way in which he won that is impressive.

 

I can't comment on the Holme's book...I haven't read it. For God's sake, Holmes can hardly speak...how did he write a book? Anyway, Holmes showed up that night in great condition and he was not far off his prime. Fact is, a prime Tyson would have beat a prime Holmes, Ali, or just about any other slick boxer I can think of or imagine. Neither had the strength or power to keep Tyson at bay. The only guys that could legitimately give Tyson trouble at that age were boxer punchers like Lewis or Louis.
