Khan's win vs. Maidana Brook's win vs. Porter Assuming these are the best wins in their records, who had the better/bigger win?
I really enjoyed both these wins. Two really wonderful performances, two excellent fights. I scored Brook-Porter a draw. Therefore I'll go with Khan's victory over Maidana, but there's nothing meaningful in it.
Brook-Porter for me. It was an away win, he took the title (rather than defended it), and I think Maidana at the time wasn't as good as the version that beat Broner. Khan-Maidana was more exciting though.
This for sure. Maidana improved at 147 and whilst he was always crude, he was way more refined. I don’t see any version of Khan beating Maidana from the Broner fight
the Maidana who Khan narrowly and controversially beat was not the same Maidana who beat Broner and gave Mayweather a good fight. He improved massively after he moved to Robert Garcia. The version of Maidana who Khan beat, lost the mediocre duo of Devon Alexander (lost every single round) and Andreas Kotelnik, went life and death with Victor Ortiz and had a really close fight with a past it fat out of retirement Erik Morales. Maidana was seen as just a plodder with a bad chin at that time. Dangerous puncher but with very limited skills.
