Mayweather was the first person to defeat/stop Hatton so his was more significant.

But Pac's was more emphatic and crushing even though May had already cracked Hatton's chin.

    I honestly really don't know.
Mayweather was the first. Hatotn was ranked higher then.
PAcquiao was a massacre (and coming from lower weight class unlike Mayweather who made Ricky move up.)

    Really i don't know.

Luis Collazo had shown Hatton could be hurt and was ready to be taken at ww before Floyd got there.

Pacquiao's win was more emphatic, more sensational, and it was at Hatton's prime weight.

The Mayweather-Hatton fight went just as everyone expected, Pac shocked us with his power and brilliance.

Hatton didn't have to move up. He weighs in the 150's on fight night. He just didn't have to cut as much weight.

bingo, you got it. mayweahther was expected to beat hatton, maybe not by ko, but he was favored, while pac, the underdog, a fighter moving up in wieght, drops hatton in only 2rds.

    You were shocked?

The only thing that shocked me about that fight was people thinking Hatton actually had a chance to win.

The more significant win is the win that takes away the 0.

I was definitely shocked that it was a clean cold KO with one shot before 2 rounds had even finished. I didn't expect it to be as easy, quick and sensational as that.

I`d say the Pacquiao-Hatton fight was more significant, not because he did it earlier, I put that **** down to styles more than anything, but because I was torn down the middle as to who would win that one & Pac not only won but he did it easy....... in contrast, I had no doubt at all that Mayweather would beat Hatton, the only thing that shocked me was that he KO`d him, I thought it was gonna be a UD.

Hatton looked like garbage against Juan Lazcano and almost got KO'd by a left as well. Lazcano is hardly a world beater.

It was pretty evident prior to the fight that Pacquiao was going to beat Hatton down. That is why he was over a 2:1 favorite to win.

1st round, 2nd round, 10th round, does not matter to me. He was going to get caught and everybody knew it. Hardly an upset, and hardly surprising.

Haha so you knew Pac was going to win with a sensational, brutal KO in the second round, with 2 knockdowns in the first. :blood

PBF's was more significant. Hatton was undefeated at that time and a top 10 P4P ranked fighter.:deal

Was Calzaghe's win over Kessler better than Andre Ward's then?

I'd say no. Calzaghe took a hard-fought UD over a relatively unproven Kessler, while Ward absolutely dominated a more experienced Kessler in a high-profile showpiece tournament that Kessler was favourite to win.

Judge each case on its individual merits, blanket-rules don't work in boxing.
