For me it was the Brewster fight. In the first 3 rounds he was very very aggressive, he did not box the way he does now. He ran out of gas than... regarding the fights he won... well, certainly the Peter fight was the most entertaining.
wlad - brock top american prospect taken to school. it was a shame to hear that brock's eye KO'd his career after the chambers fight though
ditto, what beautiful display of boxing skill and technique. It couldn't of happened to a better opponent!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't have one, find most of his fights boring. Wish David Haye would've fought him, even if David Haye would have lost, it would still have been interesting.
Peters chagaev fight was nice mcline brewster 2, to have a guy like brewster quite on the stool, was pretty impressive first byrd fight, austin all in the above order
QTF ^ Why would anybody pay to watch that bumhunting *****. Watch me jab an overweight guy to death! Yay!
I have to agree about the Mercer fight. I just watched it again today, and it was a great thrill rather than the pins and needles I have lately felt in Wlad's performances. I like how explosive he was in putting Jameel McCline on the seat of his pants when McCline was still a force in the division. His destruction of Derrick Jefferson was classic Wlad. The first two minutes of the Corrie Sanders fight was rock'em-sock'em. And going back a bit, I have to mention his two fights with Carlos Monroe, a tall fighter who gave him difficulty, but he fought hard and fearlessly to prevail. We would like to see Wlad get down in the trenches like that again. His five-knockdown affair of Monte Barrett deserves honourable mention, as well as the first Chris Byrd fight.
The Sam Peter fight, it had me on the edge of my seat wondering whether Wladimir was going to fulfill his potential and win the fight. I thought before the fight "If Wladimir can just beat Sam Peter, he is going to be HW champion because no way is Chris Byrd beating him". And I was right.
