He never ducked anyone. It didn't matter how dangerous that challenger was. He fought all of them. Who was your most favourite?
No need to count how many times he successfully defended his World Title.

Robinson had Burley. Roy had Michalczewski. Marciano had Patterson and had agreed to face Ingemar but if we are looking at before his early first and only retirement, he's a solid case for fighting everyone and granting warranted rematches. Tyson had years of delaying for Holyfield people will point to, with no Bowe or Foreman either... I'm sure I'm forgetting a couple names for Chavez and probably if I were more familiar or on point there's one or two for Lopez and Hagler too... You can always make the case that they "ducked" any fighter they never faced. Obviously though Robinson, Marciano, Hagler are among some of the greatest warriors we've seen.

I thought it was which is the odd one out list at first lol.

Poor Roy you've got him surrounded by some of the most those teak-tough legendary iron-jawed warriors of all time. He must feel like the ugly girl who took a wrong turn and accidentally wandered into a beauty pageant lol

I don't recall any of the mentioned fighters avoiding anyone tbh.

Robinson and Chavez have the best resumes on the list, Marciano and Tyson ruled over weak periods in the heavyweight division.

In case of Hagler, Mike Macallum maybe. What you think?

Holyfield should be top of that list. An absolute warrior!

De La Hoya should be an option well. As far as I know he never ducked anyone, and took on all comers.

Among heavyweights, the resumes of Ali and Holyfield are pretty hard to beat.

Manny Pacquiao fighting JMM as his first defense of the 126 pound titles is pretty jaw dropping. A voluntary defense against an unknown ATG in their prime.

Very few champions, if any current champions would do something that gutsy or stupid, depending on how you look at it.
