As for the three options. I would never pay to see Oscar PBF twice unless Cotto was being showcased on the undercard.

Cotto PBF and MArgo PBF I would pay to see no matter what and the Ricky Hatton fight I would pay to see as long as it in England and there was someone like Vazquez or one of the Marquez brothers on the undercard.

Mayweather jr. vs. De La Hoya

could well be the closest fight out of all of them but ive already seen it wouldn't pay again

    Mayweather jr. vs. Hatton

if the fight is in england i would pay to watch it, if not same as above

    Mayweather jr. vs. Margarito

    Mayweather jr. vs. Cotto

i would pay in a minute, been wanting to see these fights for a long time now

Of course I agree with you but I was just wondering if anyone else thought that way? I think Floyd had alot more to do with the 800k plus buys than HAtton in the us.

That's understandable but you are in the minority in the marketplace as a whole on that one.

    In the North America...yes

    In the World probably 50:50

If the Hatton fight happened in England it could be way bigger then the DLH rematch.

Yeah HBO marketing was genius for that fight. They painted Hatton as this beast from the UK. Do you remember when the would film Hatton training and the camera would start to shake and the music started to play...clever marketing to say the least. I agree PBF did his part to sell the fight by playing the bad guy like always.

Without even thinking about it. Another thing is if they positioned that card as to the winner fights the winner type deal then the Floyd Cotto fight would have to be made because the demand will just skyrocket. From a promoter stand point though Cotto can headline a PPV anyway so that probably won't happen.

    We sure can wish though:yep

You know it's funny you mentioned that because my wife walked in when he was hitting the bag and she was like "damn Floyd gonna get roughed up this fight". They were clever

thats what most of you dont understand

we as boxing fans will pay for all of these fights....

the casual sports fan who only watches the super bowl-nba finals-finals of march madness will not pay to watch any of these except maybe floyd and oscar because of the hype following

Could you imagine the attendance of a fight like that? It would be insane man. Though I would wether watch him and Cotto go at it I guess I would pay just to see the atmoshphere in the arena.

No I disagree I think that promoters would be pretty short sighted if they didn't stick Cotto on the undercard of a DLH Money May weather card and then call it something like the Welter Weight tournament or something. Right now Cotto's biggest problem is that he's not known by enough mainstream fans. So what would be a good idea...sticking him on a Card with fighters that are going to draw a mainstream audiance, while at the sametime hyping a fight between the two would be marketing genius. The increase in demand for that fight would more then pay you back.

Additionally, right now the Problem with DLH PBF is that there is not enough in watching PBF and DLH fight eachother again to interest the average hardcore boxing fan. Sure the average Joe who kinda likes boxing might be interested in watching this fight but in reality most of these average joe's don't go out and watch boxing on their own. They usually have one or two hardcore boxing fans that tell them what fights to watch or hype a big fight to them making them want to see a big fight. Think about it how many luke warm boxing fans does each of us have that would watch this fight but not too many other fights and probably already saw the first one. Probably 3 or 4 at least. Now consider how many of those fans would go watch that fight again if you weren't going or if you told them that you were veamently opposed to watching that fight. Answer...none of them. But by sticking a Cotto Margo showcase fight on the undercard everyone of us is back on board bringing the audiance for this fight up tremendously. Then Cotto destroys Margo in an All action war. And everyone of those luke warm fans goes man I need to see this guy fight Floyd. So 1) In this way Cotto is more known by the average fan when he finally steps into the ring with him. And 2) He's in a good position to take on the mantle of p4p champion when he beats Floyd (if he beats Floyd) and still keep all the luke warm boxing fans. Cause to be honest the average boxing fan is going to either feel screwed or shocked if Floyd loses to a no-name they'd never heard of. Either way they'd feel a little less trustful of Boxing or of the hype surrounding Floyd and this isn't going to be helped by all the hardcore fans yelling i told you so. But if the average luke warm boxing fan at least understands that Cotto is a great fighter before he beats Floyd they will be much more likely to jump on the Cotto bandwagon instead of take a break from boxing until someone else captures their attention. So Cotto might have to take a pay cut for the time being but when he goes big beating Floyd he will be able to carry a lot of Floyd'd fans with him and that means a lot of $$$ in future fights.

Yeah 100 000 fans in Wembley would be a pretty awsome sight. too bad they had to do it in Vagas the first time round.
