You don't know there is a difference between a cannon ball and a bullet? Still, the cannon ball would do less damage at 1 mph.

yeah speed can create power so I'll go with speed. plus catching someone with a punch they don't see coming b/c of speed is what causes most fighters their losses.

The cannon ball would crush your chest and the bullet would go thru,, I'd think no matter where the cannon ball hit you it would cause major damage as where the bullet would have to hit a major artery or organ

guys with speed were Leonard,Hearns,Benitez,Jones,Mayweather etc
Power Jackson,Mugabi, etc. Which names were better. It is hard to find a really big puncher who was great just on the power. They usually had weakness. Hearns was a great who had great power, but he could also box which meant if he had a tough fight he would resort to boxing and not try and use his power.

I would prefer power, because the fights are much more exciting to watch than a featherfisted dude who outbox his opponents. You need to be have power to be a great slugger and have enjoyable fights for the fans.

Physics supports your argument that mass deals more damage to a larger area however, boxers can dodge punches which makes slower but big power punches harder to land.

Btw this exact scenario was done in an It's Effin Science episode. They compared a bullet to a chicken launcher. Chicken launchers were developed by NASA to test airplane cockpits ruggedness when they are hit by birds during landings and take-offs. Anyways a bullet makes a hole and is stopped by the bullet proof vest. The chicken however rips the dummy's chest cavity in half. It was entertaining to say the least. The bullet was like 6 times faster too.

Speed here. This is like Mab-Pac 1. Mab for his strong and power physique while Pac with his speed. See the result.

But barrera also had power. For me the best example of speed vs power would be arturo gatti vs Ivan Robinson.

Id rather have the power. Listen a guy like Trinidad will probably get a close decision before a guy like Cory Spinks would this assuming the fight is close. The judges like clean, effective punching and they like to see punches that phyiscally move the other fighter or punches that have that umpph sound. In a perfect world id be the Tyson, RJJ or SRR type with tremendous speed and damn good power. But agian id rather be a Gatti then a Malignaggi.
