Terrible quality video of Greb-Tunney or Joe Louis vs Abe Simon filmed with modern cameras and production?
I would have to go with the Louis-Simon fight. The Tunney-Greb fights would have been way better, but I hate watching awful film of famous fights, like Graziano-Zale II. I would rather see a well-filmed vintage fight.
This is a tougher question than it looks at a glance, I'm almost leaning towards the premium quality Louis-Simon bout, if only because watching Joe Louis in modern high definition film would be a treasure. But to pick that over a Greb fight, and vs. Tunney at that? Quite the dilemma and one that I think I might change my mind on many times over.
Yeah, Greb and it's a no-brainer. Although there's genuinely quite a lot of other fights I'd rather see than these two. Charles vs Moore I, II & III Charles vs Bivins I, II, III Charles vs Burley I & II Lewis vs Rosenbloom (any) Graziano vs Zale I & II Petrolle vs Battalino I Robinson vs Gavilan I & II Ortega vs DeMarco I, II & III &c, &c.
Greb vs Tunney 1. Tunney was a little pre-prime, but this is his only official lost. I liked to see what happened in round one. There is some talk out there at Greb, who was a windmill of action with more parts of his body than his fists, slammed the top his his head into Tunney's nose and face area. Tunney could not recover from it, and Greb kept his foot on the gas pedal for the remaining 14 rounds.
