The fight won't happen in 2018. The stiff coward is trying to age and avoid Wilder. Hearn and AJ have a good thing going. The UK has never had a true super fight. The fight belongs in Vegas where both stand to make major money. In the UK Hearn and AJ will talk what Wilder is worth and avoid the fight, but in Vegas where Haymon can work his magic...he can get both guys respect, universal recognition, and an audience where the whole world can watch. You can't do that in the UK. Now I'm not against a fight in the UK as long as tiny front teeth Hearn and the stiff one recognize what this fight can do for boxing and don't attempt to lowball Wilder. Wilder isn't a mandatory, hes a champion who wants to unify. If Joshua won't do that Wilder can fight other guys.
I think AJ getting a slice of Hearns company makes this fight more likely to happen. I think it happens by Spring of 2019. However, Its a big risk for AJ and they would prefer the Tyson Fury fight because they know he cant hurt AJ and will not age him. Whether that Fury fight happens depends on whether he is able to get back in shape again Meanwhile, Wilder will hurt AJ and stop him. So they will only take it next after Parker if Tyson Fury is not ready.
It took 20 years to make megafight between Mihael Grant and Michael Sprott, so I guess Wilder vs AJ will happen in 2030s.
Wilder never wants to fight Joshua, never! Hell, Wilder refused $4,000,000 to fight Whyte, now we know why............
AJ/Miller has been said to be seriously considered for AJ's US debut which might be next, (I had this same idea lol) AJ/Miller & Wilder/White doubleheader on Showtime from Barclay's (or wherever) in the late summer/early fall. Then Whyte/Miller (if they both lose) and AJ/Wilder from Wembley sometime next year. **** would be huge!
I think Wilder would fight AJ..If he does and gets KO'd,hes had his cash out fight.I'd be very surprised if Wilder fights Whyte before AJ.To risky.
Hopefully this year, but this being boxing and all, I have a feeling we will have to wait. I say next year.
It might be a little early yet. I remember with Hearns vs. Leonard, Angelo said we wanted to make it where people were asking for it, not just boxing people but the general public. Then we knew it would be a good fight, and if Wilder and Joshua keep winning, it will be even bigger in a year.. And they will be more experienced, where it will be a better fight.
My guess is next year. I don't know why they just don't fight now though, then fight again down the line. All this money milking horses***, it'll be a massive fight now and so would a rematch, irrelevant of the result.
