Imagine Whitaker and Mayweather switching some opponents, like Mayweather vs JCC or Whitaker vs Hatton. Would either dispatch the opponent similarly as the other did or would the outcome be vastly different?
mayweather vs hatton was very scrappy whitaker would have really busted hatton and played around with him like some third rate sparring partner and most likely won every single round, chavez was on the slide against whittaker and 147 wasnt a good weight for him so i see floyd winning comfotably
Don't get me wrong I love Whitaker, he's one of my all-time favourites and he's a better fighter than Mayweather, but I have a feeling he would of toyed with Hatton, like he did with DLH, and not mount so much of an offense and not concentrate on those crisp counters like Floyd did, and therefore he wouldn't of stopped Hatton. I feel he beats him easily by decision, something like 118-110 or 117-111 on the cards, but I don't see a stoppage.
If Whitaker toyed with Hatton like he did with De La Hoya the scorecards wouldn't read 118-110 or 117-111.
