Whitaker and Walcott?

    great thought taht in terms of the circles the feints etc...

    yes influences are great as long as you arnt too influenced like what has happened with Sheffield kids and Naz

    Thanks for posting the side-by-side of Walcott and Whitaker. I don't see the resemblance. In fact, I think it's unfair to Whitaker to compare the two of them. Whitaker was an all-time great.

    The Louis-Walcott clip did reinforce in my mind how past it Louis was when he faced Walcott. His timing was off, his balance was terrible, and his reflexes were shot. He should've retired before then. He already had a title fight record that wouldn't be touched (thanks to all the fights that would have been nontitle bouts in a division with an upper limit on weight). I know he needed the money, and that's a sad story (I couldn't bear to watch the wrestling clips in the other thread). Either one of those guys in the ring with, say, Joe Frazier on that night would have been blown away.

    Ok, For me it's quite clear. Especially in rd 2 of Whitaker-DLH, where he starts moving more. And once again, it was not meant as a comparison of quality, only styles (although I think Walcott was a quality fighter, as well).
