Taylor stood in front of a fantastic inside fighter. Pea wouldn't. These comparisons are not worthwhile IMO. Duran DID give a **** about what was coming back at him, the first DeJesus fight is a good example. Okay he rectified that in the rematch but this is about ONE match not a trilogy. Also, whilst Pea lacks that kind of power, try getting hit three, four, five times in a matter of seconds and not flinching or still being able to see where you are, when your opponent is turning you and also has a FANTASTIC jab. That's what makes this match 50-50. especially when you consider on any given night one style could cancel the other style out ENTIRELY it's so itneresting it's unbelievable. I would say draw over 12, Duran PTS over 15 (possible POSSIBLE SLIMLY POSSIBLE late stoppage) but if you put a gun to my head I'd say Duran PTS over 12. My2Sense is a very good poster, who wouldn't post without thinking:good
1st, I'am not making comparisons about how Taylor fought as 2 how he ended up looking, i said Pea will look the same as Taylor. 2nd, Duran/De Jesus 1, was back in 72 when he was still an unpolished thug & not his rampant best from 74 till 78. 3rd, While Pea is throwing his bursts ov 3/4 hooks/jabs & twisting & turning ect what do think Duran will be doing, picking his nose! even Angello Dundee raved about Duran's ring savvy. I don't get yer reply! You've only confirmed/agreed what i've been saying the outcome will be, DURAN WINS BY UD due 2 workrate or gets the TKO late on, IMO no ****in way will Whitaker school Duran or remotely hurts him, it's a 15 rd on yer chest job & no one yet has come up with the allmighty Pea Battle/Survival plan that sounds as if he's going 2 win without getting Hurt:smoke simple as, DURAN WINS:bart
Yeah i was just kidding with that post. What you're saying is often true but often i think it might be cause for injustice as well i must say.
He gave quite a few ****s about what DeJesus had after getting dropped by him; in fact he eventually changed his whole style around to deal with him. As for the rest of his opponents at 135, most of them didn't have anything for him to have to give a flying **** about in the first place. Most of them were slick boxers who couldn't punch, and he could just come tearing in as he pleased.
Yep. He also blasted out Juan Nazario in a single round, floored Greg Haugen, and broke Jorge Paez with body punching.
Yeh right:roll: So i suppose De Jesus just thought it was time 2 get out ov there seeing he had a dental appointment did he:smoke just nit pick all yer like mate, seeing Pea is a slick boxer that can't punch he'll go the same way as the rest then yeh!:deal
So what's Duran's excuse for being shut down after getting dropped by him in their first fight? No, he's a slick boxer who can punch, as his fights with Nazario, Lomeli, Haugen, Mayweather, Paez, and Ramirez all clearly showed.
Whitaker's power may well be somewhat underrated but he's not got the pop to floor Duran, IMO. Realistically anyway.
you really are hanging on by yer finger nails ar'nt you Excuse???? i'll leave that 2 you as i've no doubt you'll dream one up:good Please refer 2 post 23 & 92 & pay more attention in future before you dig yer self another hole so quit while yer behind:smoke WOW, some class acts here allright:roll:
