Revisionist history @ it's finest. The only moment de la Hoya had in the 12th round was when he put Ike on his ass. The flurry that ensued after the knock down was hitting on air. Ike recovered and went back to sticking his jab-right hand in Oscar's face for the rest of the round.

Quartey got robbed in broad daylight...

I watched the fight on the night of the original broadcast. I felt the same way then as I do now; Oscar was swinging @ air all night. I don't need Merchant to tell me what I saw with my own two eyes...

I agree the reason Whitaker was upset was that he was used to winning on defense alone. I think the knockdown is the main reason why Pernell thought he had won.

The night of the original broadcast was a looooooooong time ago.
I thought DLH had landed many of those missed combos the night of the original broadcast. Viewing it again, I realized the combos I thought had landed were not landed. First viewing is never right because we're excited and we want our man to win. Me and you saw two different fights that night but at least I admit I was wrong. Now, those famous missed combos aside, DLH was landing.

Yes it was long ago. However, I clearly remember Whitaker making de la Hoya look like an amature.

You would respond execpt for the fact that you find it hard to speak with de la Hoya jizz lubricating the inside of your throat...

You must have a bad memory, or you're just full of ****.

It was a fantastic fight, and when you score each round, you will see Oscar was the more effective fighter.

I didn't say that. I said after the knockdown and flurry by De La Hoya, Ike had the better round the rest of the way. It's Oscar's round 10-9

I score fights how I see them. I had Leonard defeating Hagler, I had Casamayor losing to Kid Diamond, I had Guzman losing to Funeka, Hopkins losing to Taylor in their first fight, and Marquez losing the first Pac fight. I like Hagler, Casa, Guzman, Hopkins, and Marquez, but I felt they lost those fights. I don't think you can call me biased.
