He fought Camacho between then. DLH looked fine against him, though of course Camacho was about a decade and 2-3 divisions past his prime.
:good It was a fight with many close rounds. But I thought DLH won 7-5. Whitaker threw many jabs, but most were ineffective. DLH landed the better punches throughout the fight. At any rate, it was a great fight, entertaining, and underrated imo.
I made a thread today about this, without seeing this one. :huh This was a tough fight to score. You had to deduct one point from Whitaker, because of the WBC rules back then. If you caused an accidental headbutt, one point was deducted from you. Stupid rules but that's how it went. I scored it 113-113 a draw. Without the point deduction from Whitaker, I'd have him winning by a score of 114-113.
I had it 7-5 and it was a pretty clear win for the champion. He dominated the fight with his jab. It was the only consistant punch from either of the two fighters in every round. ROBBERY! Just like calzaghie hopkins.....i don t understand how you can win punching air.
