Whitaker could be actually very busy and was very comfortable leading...Mayweather is picky as **** with his shots, which is why he is one of the most accurate fighters of alltime.

I would be a very dull chessmatch but I see Pernell pressing more with his jab..a lot more.

 

considering the EGO's i think this match gets very competitive very fast, i think it would be a showmanship type thing....what you can do i can do better or i can do that too...i actualy think they would bring the absolute best out of each other...would love to see this fight!

 

Hopefully, rumors of Floyd being at Zab's upcoming fight is true. Floyd and Pernell will be in the same building together. Two SBAS legends.

This would be an enjoyable fight to watch at any weight. This not going to be Hagler/Hearns but both Whitaker and Mayweather are more agresive than given credit for. Within the fight there will of course be masterfull displays of defense by both boxers.
The factors in a bout betwen the tow are going to be power punches. I don't see a knockout happening at any weight. But the abillity of both guys to land a big shot at the right time can sway the judges. I got to give the overall advantage to Mayweather here. At 135 Whitaker has more power though. The other factor is defense or styleistic defense. Both are hard if not nearly imposable to hit. The diffrance and this might be the diffrance in the fight is that when Whitaker made someone miss he made them look really bad. Mayweather often looks like he barely got out of the way. It allows him to counter but, Whitaaker's defense is more pleasing to the eye.
When everything is put together Whitaker wins a close decision.

My gut would say Whitaker but I can also see Floyd's power being the difference in this one...Would be an all-time great chess match...
