    mayweather does not have an offensive advantage & I`m not even sure Whitaker has the defensive advantage either, thats a toss-up, different styles.

    To answer the thread title... Whitaker beats him H2H & ranks higher than him on any list.

    Whitaker & Chavez are the best fighters since Leonard & Whitaker bested Chavez when they had their fight to determine the best p4p... something floyd has not yet even attempted vs pacquiao, that alone puts Pea ahead of floyd on the ATG list.

    H2H I don`t ever see floyd having the overall skillset to do what Pea did vs Nelson, Mcgirt or Chavez.

    I know Whitaker was a little closer to his prime than JCC at a weight better suited to Pea when they fought but I don`t see any WW version of floyd doing that to even that version of JCC.

    Ps. I think a peak v peak match at LW would be a toss-up between Chavez & Whitaker, personally.

    he waits until they are old and beaten up to fight them. Cotto now? intriguing but Cotto fought best back in 2007, 2008 and Floyd could have fought him then when he didn't have much damage to him, and he didn't. He wouldn't have dared. Hatton? above his weight? Mosley? Delahoya. All when they were washed up. No Tzsyu who was the top 140 pound fighter near the time Mayweather fought. Margarito was a top fighter at welt and Floyd did not fight him or come close to it. Cintron. Williams. He had top guys fighting, He waits until everyone fights each other and the smoke clears where others have cleaned out the division like Mosley and Cotto and Margarito, then those guys are washed up from all the wars and he picks them to fight. Yeah he has them on his record. So what. And actually I have said he has great skills. But greats skills do not mean great fighter if he doesn't have the guts to prove he can beat greats when they are on top and hungry.

    ATG = Whitaker
    H2H: Mayweather would win at any weight.

    I don't realy give a **** about ATG and ****.

    As far as picking the H2H? That is a real toss-up. I don't see how any of you can say with any confidence that either would win. There are only two fighters of the modern era I would confidently favor against Floyd.
