Whitaker vs Pacquiao @ WW

I feel Manny was a better fighter and beat better fighters, Chavez would have landed more on Manny than Whitaker would have because of his style even though Whitaker more or less beat Chavez when they met in `93, Pernell never faced a fighter with Manny`s prowess, I also feel JMM was a better counter puncher than Pea'.

I agree; Pac's main weapons at WW were his speed and his excellent angling, alongside his ability to split the jab and move off line, and of course his experience. He can't overwhelm with pure physicality here. I don't think he can fully implement these here against Whitaker, especially with that right jab and defense. Would be a hotly contested, tight fight IMO.

Whitaker tight decision.

 

Pac wins a close decision but most of Whitaker’s fans say he was robbed and he won every round.

 

Whitaker wins a razors edge decision, he may even find himself on the floor once or twice.

 

Pac WINS EVERY ROUND EASILY AND IS ROBBED!

 

I like Manny in that one.... I think he would find Pea more then he did Floyd.

Whitaker by UD .. Manny wins with his speed and punch activity. Whitaker would neutralize that and counter and Manny would look very ordinary and lose a decision. Very similar to the Mayweather fight. And Whitaker was greater than Mayweather.

 

Floyd and Manny would have beat McGirt more convincingly than Pea did.

 

Meldrick beat McGirt convincingly and yet Pernell did better against JC Chavez and Taylor got stopped.

 

Taylor landed more on JC than Whitaker did, that`s why he got caught, but should have won, he was winning with 2 seconds to go. Floyd would have beaten McGirt more convincingly than Taylor did and there`s no way McGirt could have taken the same of shots he took from Taylor in a fight with Manny, Pac punches far harder than Taylor did.
