Whitaker vs PBF at 154 lbs

Whitaker's win over Vasquez was more impressive than Floyd's win over DLH at the weight.

Head to head I like neither of them at this weight, but Pernell is the better fighter, so I'll take him.

 

Pea was sh*t at 154. He even said that he felt slow and couldnt move. After winning the title he said that it was too big and he wasnt himself. "Too much weight, its just too much weight, and cant move I cant do ****" That was Pea's comments after beating Julio Cesar Vasquez.

Little known fact...The fight at 154 was a set up fight for a showdown with Roy Jones Jr...I dont think that people know how close that fight came to being made...It was Pea not being comfortable at 154 that put it to an end.

Pea won about 9-3 or 10-2 against a guy who was 53-1 and had made around 10 defenses of his belt, including a three-knockdown win over Winky Wright, and PBF got a close but clear decision in a fight that he lost the first half of against a 35-year old DLH who had only fought 6 rounds in 4 years before taking on PBF. Pea's win was more impressive.

Both are so far above their best weight that all this would come down to is who was the better fighter. Therefore, my answer should be obvious.

 

Who ever actually lands a punch will win.
