Its excellent. It way to continue to compete as an ametuer as you get older. I know guys in their 50s who still have a couple of bouts a year to stay in shape and to continue to be involved in the sport they love.
was thinking that me mate was a good amatuer fighting lots and since his started white collar his only getting like 4 or 5 fights a year
It can be. In the States we have the Masters division with is 35+. Alot of times we have White Collar here too but the difference is that's it's not USABoxing sponsored, so there are no wins or losses (although some score them 'unoffically'). It's a way to have matches without going through the hassle of getting a passbook, since the requirements are stricter once you are 35. But on some of these events, you will have a guy with no fight paired up against a guy who has 10. And it's just because the pool of fighters is much smaller.
