White said he will cut Silva with another bad effort

  1. I'm partial to it, going through boxing history every fighter was entitled to his off fights. Watching some of Muhammad Ali and RJJ fights and they make Silva look like a saint.

Dana White has no place to be antagonizing such a valued figure in MMA. This is the problem with UFC's corperate monopoly and domination, the fighters have only one real avenue to earn a decent living and practise their art.

I wouldn't be surprised if Silva in intentionally acting out for that reason, if he is it needs to be made a statement.

Otherwise, you're just letting the fans down aswel as yourself.

Bollocks he is! No way in ****ing hell will Dana cut a guy who he has been parading as P4P #1 and let him fight for another org and quite frankly it would be ******ed to do so. In fact Dana's whole reaction to this whole affair has been childish. For a guy in a position such as his, as a figurehead of the sport, he should not be acting like a ****ing child.

I don't think he would cut Silva, but I wouldn't put it past him. He's already let go of two of the only guys who can even compete with Silva at UFC middleweight in Dan Henderson and Matt Lindland.

He's going to make a mistake if he thinks the UFC can maintain the sort of status it holds right now as far as top competition, with so many great fighters outside the org.

He has to make up his mind. Best fighters in the world facing one another, or most entertaining organization. Sometimes matchups are going to suck. That Silva fought the way he did, and acted a jackass doesn't help.

But, Dana White has acted a jackass and screwed over his own org by letting go of some guys who could compete with Silva, being so controlling and infantile with contracts that he chases away other potential big fish, like Fedor and letting go of legends.

Go ahead, let Anderson Silva go, then try to convince everyone Rich Franklin is the best at middle on the planet.

Silva has done this a few times now. They are not off nights, it is him being negative and not engaging. White is right in not being interested in doing what boxing is doing and that is producing shite. He knows fans will disappear.

What he could do, is not make Silva's matches televised, make them prelim matches, the sorts that are shown only after the main cards if they are good fights.

I think this sort of thing disqualifies him from fight the knockout or sub of the night bonus. Silva also doesn't seem to be the humble sort, so you bet if White does this sort of thing, he will put an effort in to be a main event material again..

Also, sometimes the matchups are lame, and are going to do this to guys who are in it purely for the win. Why, would someone like Silva want to go to the ground with super high lvl bjj fighters with dangerous ground games, when he can prevent them from taking him down at all? The UFC rewards guys for NOT LOSING, as well as being winners. That Silva fights in such a way the is super boring, is in part a result of not taking risks, along with him fighting like a bit of an *******.

The only reason Dana said this load of bologna is because he knows Silva is going to wreck Sonnen. He knows Silva isn't going to take the last 3 rounds off again.

How can White try to sell a UFC event with Silva as the headliner??? Who the **** would buy a ticket or buy the ppv, knowing what could very well happen? Silva is an ATG fighter and current champion, but he can no longer feasibly headline a show because of his antics. It's a bizarre situation, no wonder White is considering giving him the boot.

Anybody who understands MMA would buy a Silva headlined card. Get real, dude. He is the most phenominal striker in history.

I think almost every MMA fan knows that. But the point is he isnt usings those skills in his fights, the Griffin fight aside. So buying a Silva headling card could well be like buying a cheese sandwich which has no cheese in it, to use a strange example
